Legacy Global Wellness Challenge (GWC)
Status Dashboard
Design Case Study | CIGNA 2022
The busiest season for Cigna Software Innovations Team is June: when registration opens for Cigna’s annual Global Wellness Challenge. The 6-week exercise challenge has over 30,000 employees and managing the platform is crucial in kick-starting the highly anticipated wellness journey. In partnership with summer interns, the team was looking to create an easy-to-understand metric board in 2 weeks. | Desktop Design

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The process of monitoring the Cigna Global Wellness Challenge (GWC) is very manual - running scripts to grab metrics such as the number of registered participants, number of teams, average latency for servers, etc.
INTENDED SOLUTION
In order to have a better wholistic monitoring view of the challenge progression, the team wanted to create a dashboard that is fed all the necessary metrics. This would allow engineers to efficiently direct their efforts towards error handling instead of constantly checking the status.
UI/UX GOAL
Design a dashboard that serves multiple levels of metrics: the big picture and detailed metrics in categories. It is also crucial that the metrics are displayed in a way that engineers can easily identify any rising issues. The combination of these two features would guide engineers to narrow the issue down in the dashboard enough to know where it is coming from.
INTENDED USERS
The software innovations team that is responsible for the technical build of the Cigna Global Wellness Challenge.
There is future possibility of certain business team members (product owner, etc.) to have access.
TECHNOLOGIES
Figma, AWS, Validic, ZScaler, GitHub
